NOTICE OF CANCELLATION OF THE 28TH EUROFEST

Dear handball friends,

the coronavirus situation is calming down and the restrictions and measures to curb the spread of the coronavirus and to control its consequences are releasing. Nevertheless, there is a risk of a second wave, so we must cancel the 28th EUROFEST - European Handball Festival, which should take place from 2.7. to 7.7.2020.

We started preparations of our two handball tournaments for this year's season already in September 2019. We are proud that we would host a record number of teams at both, the 7th Koper Handball Cup and the 28th Eurofest. Unfortunately, the organization of both was prevented by the coronavirus (Covid-19) and thus brought us a complete loss of revenue, leaving us with many costs. Regardless of this, we will refund all paid advances to the registered teams.

We are remaining active in the hope of improving the situation as soon as possible, in Slovenia and elsewhere in the world. We will not throw away all the efforts made so far, but we are striving to organize an international handball tournament at the end of December, during the Christmas and New Year holidays. We will inform you more about the new date of the tournament as soon as we receive confirmation of reservations from the providers of accommodation facilities and halls.

For teams that would like to participate in the December tournament or EUROFEST 2021, we keep 150 euros on our bank account and their applications remain valid. We also give you a bonus of € 50 upon final payment.
